Google Play Pass comes to UK - DLS Tech

Google Play Pass arrived in the US some time ago, now Google have announced the new subscription service will be arriving in the UK this week! For those that don’t know, Google Play Pass is the Android equivalent to Apple Arcade. Providing Android users access to hundreds of apps and games without ads and in-app purchases for a low monthly (or newly announced annual) fee.

In addition to landing on Android phones across the UK this week, Google have also been busy expanding the library of included content over the past few months. In the official Google blog post announcing the international roll out, Google Product Manager Andrew Shoemaker said: “we’ve added over 150 new titles—from racing games to drawing apps—to the Play Pass catalog, and are continuing to add new content every month. Subscribers can now enjoy classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, stress-relievers like Golf Peaks, and an extensive roster of award-winning Indies like Teslagrad, Forgotton Anne, and Sally’s Law–all included with your subscription and without ads or in-app purchases.”

When the Play Pass service is available in the UK later this week, you’ll be able to sign up directly from the Play Store menu. We’ve had a look on our Pixel 3 XL but it’s not live yet, we’ll keep an eye out and update this post once it’s available on UK shores.
